To expand opportunities for people with disabilities.
PRIDE Industries has been creating jobs for people with disabilities for more than 40 years, yet we have only just begun to scratch the surface of demand for people with disabilities who wish to be employed. Our nation and state still face an epidemic unemployment among people with disabilities. Nationwide, nearly 50 million Americans (one in five) have a disability and 64% of working age Americans with disabilities are unemployed, most not by choice.
Recognizing that there is so much more work to be done, PRIDE Foundation provides a special opportunity - a social capital investment vehicle - for individuals, companies and foundations to participate in helping generate solutions for individuals most often excluded from employment.
Your contribution makes an impact by creating jobs, advancing personal independence and dignity for people with disabilities or other barriers to employment. You can make a difference by providing support for the Greatest Need at PRIDE, or directly supporting one of many important PRIDE programs.
